Charmaine is a graduate of
Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her
Bachelors of Science degree in
Criminal Justice and a
minor in Political Science in 1993. While attending Northeastern, Charmaine was a
Charles Irwin Travelli Scholar, graduating from the University
Magna Cum Laude. Charmaine obtained her
Juris Doctor from
Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1999. During her law school career, she interned at the
Department of Environmental Protection in Boston, Massachusetts.
After graduation, Charmaine Clerked at the
Office of General Counsel for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in Gloucester, Massachusetts. During this Clerkship, Charmaine assisted with oil spill and hazardous waste site cases in and around the country’s northeast region. Charmaine passed the
Massachusetts Bar in 2000 and became employed as an Associate for the
Law Office of John J. McGlynn, Jr. in Salem and Boston, Massachusetts, where she litigated matters in
probate and family courts throughout the Commonwealth. In 2004, Charmaine became a
Partner at the law firm of Wormald, & Tessier, LLC in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
In 2006, Charmaine opened her office in Beverly, Massachusetts focusing her practice on matters pertaining to family law and estate planning. As a
solo practitioner, Charmaine assists each client through the legal process with compassion and dignity.
Charmaine's publications include an environmental piece titled
“Green is the Color of the ‘90’s” Northeastern University, 1991. She has taught as an
Adjunct Professor at Bay State College. She is a member of the
Essex County Bar Association and has served in multiple roles for local government.
